| Acts 1:8 says, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." It is because of these words that Broad Street Baptist Church has a strong focus on missions. We believe that a church that is not on mission for God is a church that is disobedient. In order to fulfill this mandate from God we first believe in giving to missions. Every year the members of Broad Street Baptist Church give generously to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering, the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering, and other offerings that support missions. We also have mission opportunities in our area, in our state and nation, and around the world, so that we will personally be obedient to Jesus’ command. These volunteer mission trips help us to meet the needs of hurting people, minister alongside passionate missionaries, share the life-changing message of Jesus, and see how God is working around the world. We invite you to come along for the greatest adventure of your life, being on mission for Jesus Christ! |
